About Ingleside
Founded in 1946, we're grateful to be an important part of the Capital Heights neighborhood. We desire to serve this community and demonstrate the goodness of Christ to our neighbors. While we have a rich history, we trust that God's work will continue in us to minister the Good News of Jesus.
Who We Are
As a Christ-centered community, empowered by God, we seek to share the light of Christ by being a reconciling, serving, witnessing, and loving people of God. By studying God's Word and through worship, we seek to prayerfully discern and follow God's will for the people of God called Ingleside United Methodist Church.

Rev. Lewis Morris
Lewis Morris is our pastor. He is originally from Yazoo, Mississippi and began working as a journalist and in state government early in his career. He served as senior pastor at Crowley UMC before coming to Ingleside! We welcome Lewis and his wife Martha, and 2 stepchildren, Graham & Katie Waddill who all reside in Baton Rouge.

Whitney has served as an Administrative Assistant with our church for several years. She is the resident expert on every aspect of our church, especially the calendar of activities. She is more than willing to help with any of the numerous things that need attention around our church campus.

Dr. Elizabeth M. Wallace
The Director of our Mother's Day Out, Margaret serves as the backbone of this ministry. She is the lead organizer of our MDO and blesses us with her skills as an educator (recently retired) caring for children and parents, as well as leading our teachers. She is always looking for volunteers who also enjoy ministering to children.

For the last few years, Beth has blessed our ministry of music and worship with her beautiful voice and special music. She leads our sanctuary choir and yearly cantatas and assists with bells. She also coordinates our weekly worship service and music ministries for our community.

Vani is our church pianist. Her expert skills have been a blessing in our Christmas and Easter cantatas; as well as in our Ingleside Bells ministry.
