Is there an audition?
No audition necessary! To join, just come to rehearsal on Wednesday. We welcome singers at all experience levels.
Do I need to be able to read music?
No. While reading music is always helpful, we learn parts together at rehearsals each week, and many of our members find records to listen to and sing with between practices.
Do you perform/rehearse outside of Wednesday practices and Sunday services?
Each year we perform two large works, called Cantatas, that tell a story through song. These happen at Christmas and Easter, and the choir begins working on these works in late September for Christmas, and in January for Easter. We typically rehearse 1-2 times outside of our regular rehearsals prior to these performances.
I don't sing, but I play an instrument. Can I play with the choir?
We love it when we can add instruments to our worship services. Contact our choir director, Beth, and we can work out a way to get you involved in our Sunday music!
